The Aubert Brothers, Claude, Alain & Yves took over their family’s vineyards & estates in Donzère, near Montélimar in 1981. The trio, along with nephew Aurelein, have since acquired and planted more vineyards and transitioned to modern, yet natural methods, to make traditionally styled Rhône wines that reflect the terroir of the region. Grignan-les-Adhémar, is the AOC formerly known as Côteaux duTricastin, and the Aubert’s are considered the pioneers of the region. The vineyards, situated on pebble covered plateaus, have excellent exposure & the surrounding hills provide protection from the ravages of the Mistral when it blows.
