DOMAINE DU TREMBLAY
APPELLATION: QUINCY
About this producer:
An historic appellation in the Loire, with the vineyards situated on the left side of the river on the hills above the Cher Valley. Proprietors, Chantal Wilk and Jean Tatin, both agricultural engineers from a long line of farmers & winemakers, created the Domaine in 1988. Their philosophy is to make wine that respects both the cultural & historic back-ground of the region, with the greatest respect for nature. They were very involved with the renewal of the AOP Quincy in the 90's. The vines, planted on soil that gives the distinctive characteristics of the land, directly translates into the finished product. Joined by their daughter Maroussia in 2010, who now oversees the winemaking. The Wilks-Tatin family have not only become guardians of local heritage, but also trail blazers in modern sustainability.
