Etienne Pochon is one of the insider secrets in the Northern Rhone. His family tree dates back to the late 1700’s where they have farmed and crafted some of the most thrilling wines in the Northern Rhone. Located in the heart of the Northern Rhone Valley on sloping hills the original estate was founded in the 16th century and much of the old buildings and caves still exist. The vineyards are situated just at the foot of the hills in very fertile soil. Owner and winemaker Etienne Pochon, a shy & contemplative man, practices organic & environmentally conscious farming methods. In the dungeon like, medieval stone-vaulted farm house, he carefully crafts his wines to be balanced, aromatic and very characteristic of the appellation.
